OMATAPALO has been recognized with the Best Participation Award in the ‘Transformation Industry and Public Works’ category at the 12th edition of the Benguela International Fair (FIB 2023), held from May 24 to 27 at the Ombaka National Stadium in the province of Benguela.

The award given to OMATAPALO, which participated for the second consecutive year, at Angola’s second-largest trade fair after the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), is further recognition of the company’s contribution to the promotion of development, economic diversification, and innovation in the region and the country. OMATAPALO has a presence in 14 out of the 18 provinces.

FIB 2023, organized by the Eventos Arena Group, was held under the theme ‘Lobito Corridor.’ As part of the celebrations for the 406th anniversary of the Benguela province, the fair featured 368 exhibitors and attracted around 13,500 visitors.

This award to OMATAPALO, given in the year when the Group celebrates 20 years since its establishment in Angola, adds to two other recent distinctions received by the company.

In March, OMATAPALO was the winner of the 9th edition of the SIRIUS Awards in the ‘Entrepreneurship’ category, in recognition of its work at Fazenda Mumba, located in the Kuvango Municipality, HuĂla Province. In April, it won the Forbes Social Responsibility Award in the ‘Engineering & Construction’ category, promoted by Forbes Africa Lusophone magazine.

In 2022, OMATAPALO received the ‘Best Participation, Construction and Public Works’ award at FILDA, where it will also be present this year.
