The food collection campaign promoted by the Angola Food Bank (BAA) last weekend in nearly three dozen commercial areas in Luanda, Benguela and Huíla, with the support of the OMATAPALO Group, raised 13,619 kg of various foodstuffs, which will start being distributed from next Thursday, 30 November, to 25 institutions supported by the Bank.
On Friday in Washington, D.C., the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) bestowed the "Business of the Year" award upon Omatapalo, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Angola, SunAfrica, and ING Bank LLC, during their 2023 Annual Conference.
OMATAPALO reopened today at Quiminha Farm, 40 kilometers from Luanda, a compound feed (animal feed) factory for poultry, pigs, and cattle. With a production capacity of 100 tons of feed per day and a total of 26,000 tons per year, the production from this facility will primarily be aimed at animal producers in the Luanda and Bengo regions.
OMATAPALO will be present at the 38th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), from July 18th to 22nd, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), with three spaces that will accommodate, in a total area of about 180 square meters, eight of the Group's companies, reflecting the diversity of its activities and developing cultural and gastronomic initiatives, in the year when the Group, founded in Huíla, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The contract to rehabilitate the EN230, on the N'Dalatando-Caxilo stretch, in Kwanza Norte, covering 45 km, was awarded today to OMATAPALO by the Minister for Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, and should be completed in 24 months. The work guarantees 320 jobs.
