OMATAPALO has won the Forbes Social Responsibility Award in the Engineering & Construction category, in the first edition of this initiative promoted in Angola by Forbes Africa Lusophone magazine, to encourage investments with high social impact and promote a stronger society based on Peace.

The award, announced today at a gala event at a hotel in Luanda, represents the recognition by the jury of the work carried out by OMATAPALO over the past years in supporting individuals and communities through the promotion and support of socially-oriented initiatives in the areas of charity and social solidarity.

OMATAPALO, present in Angola since 2003, has embraced four of the 17 goals set by the UN in the 2030 Agenda as vectors for its active participation in the country’s economic, social, and environmental perspectives: ‘Eradicating Poverty,’ ‘Zero Hunger,’ ‘Quality Health,’ and ‘Quality Education.’

“The awarding of this prize, which honors us greatly, is further recognition of the work done and an incentive for us to continue building the society we aspire to see in Angola. Social Responsibility is a topic of utmost importance and is part of OMATAPALO’s DNA, contributing to a society that is better prepared to face present and future challenges,” says Carlos Alves, CEO of OMATAPALO.

OMATAPALO has been developing various projects in this area, impacting the lives of thousands of Angolans from different regions at various levels (See Appendix – OMATAPALO’S SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS IN ANGOLA).
