OMATAPALO will be present at the 38th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), from July 18th to 22nd, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), with three spaces that will accommodate, in a total area of about 180 square meters, eight of the Group’s companies, reflecting the diversity of its activities and developing cultural and gastronomic initiatives, in the year when the Group, founded in HuĂla, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
At the OMATAPALO Engineering and Construction stand, the following companies will also be present: ENERLINE (construction and maintenance of energy, gas, and telecommunications infrastructure networks), METALOSUL (metalworking), EMADEL CARPINTARIA (furniture production and carpentry), DRILL GO (geotechnical and underground works), and SIEMA (electrical and mechanical installations).
In the other two spaces, FILDA visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the activities of FAZENDA MUMBA (agribusiness) and EMADEL LAR (furniture and interior decoration).
However, the Group’s presence at Angola’s largest trade fair includes some special initiatives in this edition, particularly in the gastronomic and musical areas (see the Actions Calendar below).
At the FAZENDA MUMBA and EMADEL LAR stands, chef Elizabeth Martins will prepare and offer visitors some dishes and delicacies made with the Group’s products from the land and FAZENDA MUMBA.
The objective is to showcase the best products produced at the Group’s farm, from vegetables to meat, as well as its butchery, which was inaugurated last April in Lubango, as well as the quality and functionality of EMADEL LAR kitchens, which are privileged spaces not only for food preparation but also for family gatherings in Angola.
In the cultural area, the Group has invited the Camunga Orchestra to perform at FILDA. In the context of its 20 years, and as part of OMATAPALO’s connection to the communities where it operates, the Group is supporting this Orchestra, a project born in Luanda that aims to provide arts and music opportunities for children and young people at risk of social exclusion and food insufficiency. The Group’s support for this project involves providing musical instruments and school materials, with the aim of establishing the Camunga Orchestra Music School in Lubango.
According to Edmar Manuel, administrator and spokesperson for OMATAPALO, “as FILDA is Angola’s largest exhibition and trade fair, we couldn’t miss being present in this edition, as we have done in previous years. This year, as we celebrate 20 years with a more extensive participation in the event, we intend to showcase the diversity of the Group and publicly reinforce our commitment to the sustainable development of Angola and our close relationship with the communities where we operate.”
